Concept of Jesus (PBUH) in Islam

0 comments

No person can claim himself a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (PBUH), because believing in Jesus is included in articles of faith in Islam. This makes Islam the only non-Christian faith, which makes it mandatory for its followers to believe in Jesus (PBUH).

Salient features of Muslims’ belief in Jesus are as follows:

  • He was one of the Messengers of Allah;
  • He was born miraculously, without any human intervention;
  • He was the Messiah;
  • He gave life to the dead with Allah’s permission;
  • He healed those born blind, and the lepers with Allah’s permission;
  • He did not die on the cross, but was raised to Allah and saved from the disbelievers’ notorious planning against him.
