Maintaining relationships
After establishing brotherhood in Islamic society, Islam emphasizes on maintenance of relationships.
Anas b. Malik (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying:
“Neither nurse mutual hatred, nor jealousy, nor enmity, and become as fellow brothers and servants of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim that he should keep his relations estranged with his brother beyond three days.” – Source Sahih Muslim, Book No. 32, Hadith No. 6205
