Miraculous Qur’an

Disbelievers used to ask the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) that once they’ll die, their bodies will decompose and their bones will get mixed up with the earth, how will they be resurrected on the day of Judgment? Qur’an tells us that the human body will be reconstructed with so much precision that even the finger tips will be in the perfect order (i.e. the same as before).

“Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.” – (Source: Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Qiyamah, Ayah No. 4)

Here the perfect reconstruction till the “finger tips” is important. When disbelievers were asking about the reconstruction of ‘overall body’, why Qur’an specifically mentioned the finger tips? Why any other body part (for example hairs) was not mentioned in Qur’an? Why face was not mentioned, which is the primary source of identification still known throughout the world? Is it a sign from God, as mentioned in several Ayahs of Qur’an?

In 1788, a German anatomist Johann Christoph Andreas Mayer recognized for the first time that fingerprints are unique to each individual. Now these are used for identification of individuals. This clearly is the sign of divine origin of Qur’an. No one could even imagine the significance of finger tips in identification of an individual at the time of revelation of the holy Qur’an more than 1400 years ago. Qur’an tells us:

“And in your creation, and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving (living) creatures are signs for people who have Faith with certainty.” – (Source: Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Jathia, Ayah No. 4)

Qur’an also invites people to consider and think about it, so that they can be guided to the truth and success:

“And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember, then is there any one who will receive admonition.” – (Source: Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Qamar, Ayah No. 17)

May Allah guide us through the right path and give us wisdom to understand the signs leading us to the Truth. Ameen.
